2025/26 James Garner

To get to anywhere near the level some people seem to think he’s already at, he has to do much, much, better in games like tonight. At home to bottom of the league you’re expecting a genuinely class midfielder to run the game, as it is he was probably the worst of our 3 in there.

He's no where near as good as loads seem to think, Forest Away he was brilliant but if he's as good as people say then that should be the norm instead of these boring safe sideways passes.

He’s a perfectly good player, but he has as many games like tonight as he does like the one against forest and that ratio simply isn’t good enough for him to be classed as any more than decent at this level.

Too many games pass him by. The word decent sums him up. I always credit him for working hard because I think he's getting everything he has out of his ability. He's just not quite at the level we'd all love him to be.

I like him but we’ve got to work to a budget and he’s not worth breaking the wage structure for

Soon everyone will be asking for payrises - eg how can you pay garner more than ndiaye

I doubt he'll be offered that much, Italian clubs don't have huge wages on the whole
