Can we just praise the player for once, not the manager..

….clearly the anti-Moyes clan don’t like it , quick to criticise so it’s important to point out the job this manager has done developing Garner.

How many players is that now he's coached into the England set-up? Rooney, Andy Johnson, Lescott, Jags, Baines, Osman, Luke Shaw, Rice, Bowen, James Ward-Prowse... Great developer of English talent, must be a real pull factor for players.

On form the 4 players for the 6 and 8 spots should be. Rice, Anderson, Wharton and Garner in my opinion.

Henderson can go as a cheerleader if they want. I don’t think Scott is good enough. Mainoo might be the one who plays himself in, but him and Wharton have had a handful of good games recently each, Garner has been doing it all season.

Scott is a good player IMO. But if he's not in this squad then he's unlikely for the WC (unless injured currently). It's good that England now have options in that position. I can remember not so long ago it was Henderson and Dier

He's basically using a separate squad for each game, as players are tiring towards the end of the season.

Should minimise the risk of injuries at least

Then we can see if Armstrong has made the step up to join George & Dibling.

Played all over the pitch, been the best player in most of our games and used with multiple midfield partners.

Fair play, makes sense you want a player like him at a tournament give you loads of options given his versatility with the bonus of being one of the PL top midfielders.

I would have said in the past that hes a player we need to aspire to move on from, Moyes has really coached him to a new level.

Moyes willingness to think outside the box and play players out of position for the good of the team clearly helps too because Tuchel knows Garner can not only play midfield but he can also provide right back cover. Might make all the difference in terms of making the squad because he provides cover in two positions. Great work DM.
