I can see why he’s taken Henderson but only cos I’ve managed a footy team before. In terms of ability he shouldn’t even be in the conversation, but you do need a player in the squad who is going to sort all the stuff you could do without and Henderson seems that type. He’s basically going cos he’s a kopite grass.

He could have gone as part of the backroom staff if he is that important to the squad. Im not against Henderson tbh, got some unjustified critisism in the past imo, but he is past his sell by date.

He is still young and now has something to prove. Not the biggest surprise in the non-selections. England pick a team to do well in the WC not win it.

To be honest, we've really not helped him in recent weeks by playing turgid football. He looked best when not with Gana. If he had kept the December - Feb form up, he'd be in the squad.

But, you essentially take 4 players if you take Garner- DM, CM, RM, RB.

Weird decision to leave him out, but it's a weird squad generally.

….i’m not so sure, whilst he looked at plenty of players, I’d think Tuchel was fairly set on most of his squad with the exception of a place or two. I do agree about his versatility being a big bonus.

Its a real craw sticker.
We need Everton players in the squad.
One of the glaring deficiencies of the season was the lack of the composure, class, steady heads. Something one sees in JB and he was sorely missed in the later games. Going to a world cup fosters/entrenches these qualities.
Jimmy should feel hard done by here. As should the club.
The Henderson decision is a joke.
Would have been a perfect backup/understudy to Rice.

Well i never. Just realised im in Rovinj when we play Croatia . Was in the country when we played Hadjuk Split a few years back. It was lively then so imagining it'll be worse that evening. Very patriotic people.

It just doesn't make that much difference these days with a 26 man squad, you can take plenty of cover without needing versatile players. Bear in mind we've just played a full season using 22 players, they're taking 26 to play an absolute maximum of 8 games.

Well I for one am happy that he is not going with team tap-up.

Lost too many good players that tie in with international call ups.
