Less surprising than Gibbs-White missing out and some of the others IMO. Probably not that helpful that Tuchel publicly described him as England's "Valverde" either - likely gave him a bit of false hope.

But far superior? No way.

Garner has better passing accuracy, created the same amount of chances as Anderson this season, has more assists, made more interceptions and made and won more tackles.

Apart from having 2 more goals, not sure where the far superior assertion comes from.

I can see why he’s taken Henderson but only cos I’ve managed a footy team before. In terms of ability he shouldn’t even be in the conversation, but you do need a player in the squad who is going to sort all the stuff you could do without and Henderson seems that type. He’s basically going cos he’s a kopite grass.

I don't think anyone other than Everton fans were arsed if he got called up, good player for us but he's not on the level of Anderson and with only one call up prior to the world cup it was always a long shot.
