Sharpys top lip

Player Valuation: £60m
What more can i say, he's been outstanding. The good thing with jags is his dips only last a game or two. Were The likes of Lescott or Yobo have a bad three months. Jags just kicks on. Iv said it from the beginning. He's a future captin of this club.

He's been the one player who has stood out this season so far. He should be are captin now IMO. Because he will play every game. He's a must at centre back. An Yobo an Lescott should fight it out for the other spot.

Well done Jags, Keep it up lad!!

Do you agree?

He's been pretty steady, mate. But looking at how [Poor language removed] the rest of them have been, it's not hard to stand out.

He's settled in well after a ropey start. Good player.

Hes been class for years, he just never gets the praise cos hes not a classy centre half. His reading of the game is excellent and his tackling even better.

He's our best centre back by quite a distance. Has been ever since he got into the team. The man is the machine, excellent signing at 4 million.

Agree, he's the most consistent player at Everton this season, think he'd be a great captain, don't know if he's a good talker on the pitch though...Moyes missed a chance when he made Arteta captain when Neville was out, and I think now Arteta would take it as an insult if he wouldn't get it next time Neville is out...

I'm also affraid that if Jagielka keeps playing like this for the rest of the season he'll attract the interest of the big four, don't know when his contract at GP expires, but I hope you'll be able to get some cash out of him IF he leaves...

He should have another three years to go, mate.

Thats a great shout mate. Havn't got a clue why Arteta was made captin. Should have neen jags all day!! Plus he's the bast talking CB we have.

Maybe it's Moyes' way of trying to get him to act like he gives a [Poor language removed] about playing football.

He's not the Arteta he was two seasons ago, It's like he's believed his own hype got carried away and now he feels like he doesn't have to perform because if we don't want him Atletico will come knocking for him.

Why do people always make out like Arteta has a bad attitude.

He was injured for 6 months last season and played with an injury. He deserves credit for that but instead he was ripped into by a lot of evertonians.

He hasn't been great at the moment but maybe just maybe he's going through one of those patches. It doesn't always come down to attitude, Arteta loves playing for Everton and his workrate is never in doubt.

He's actually played well in the last two games, he looked bright yesterday.

Players are only as good as their last 4 performances. He's been [Poor language removed] an is still playing on reputation. It's a shame becouse he can be a fantastic player on his day. The lad need droping but theirs nobody to replace him. We only have 2 players that can do a job on the wing. Arteta an Pienaar. He's playing without fear, he's knows he'll be picked next week.

Not good...:(

Three if you count Mandy Van der Meyde. Let's face it, if the lad is injury free, there is every possibility that he'll play his socks off given that he will be looking for a new club this summer. Time to make use of him, I think. I doubt Moyes will, though.

Dont think a club in Spain would pay £15-20mill for Arteta. Like some Spanish feller on here said, nobody rates him in Spain and they only remeber the time his was there which was [Poor language removed].

Unless another English club want him, he wont go to Spain with the price tag we could put on him. He's boss anyway IMO.

As for Jags -- rated him ever since he started to play at CB. I aint seen a [Poor language removed] game he' s played in personally and the amount of Alan Hansen Seal Of Approval World Class tackles is up into double figures. Yobo and Lescott on the other hand need to take a note out of his book.

The only problem he has is height. Its why I think he'll always be snubbed any credit or international call ups.

I agree. Everyone that enjoyed slagging Jag's off must be glad to be wrong. He is getting stronger and more consistent every game.
