I imagine if we're talking to potential shirt sponsors and other commercial partners "will Grealish be wearing our logo?" would be a question that would come up, he's still a big draw. So makes sense commercially to try and get something tied up nice and early.

Hopefully the fact we're now looking to press on for next season is a positive indicator of how his rehab is going. Imagine if he was struggling we'd be in no immediate hurry to move things along.

Makes no more sense to sign him now than it does to sign Long John Silver, but a great idea to try and set up the terms of a radically different deal with them than the one we'd previously agreed, ready for when he's back up to full fitness.

If we can get him for father’s day less than the £50m originally mooted, assuming there’s a Barry-esque structure to this deal, it’s an absolute no-brainer. KDH in particular loved having him on the pitch and assuming we get a new, more competent attacking LB he could be playing triangles that will make grown men* weep next year.

I’m not so sure, well out the England spot light, no longer the face of an all conquering super cloob.
I do agree to some extent though, as he would certainly heavily feature on TV for us I’d expect, just we won’t be ‘main event’ very often atm.
