2025/26 Jack Grealish

Being a lifelong blue and season tkt holder for 45 years i am more than happy to be now working at Finch Farm. Parents and their kids wait at the gate to see their heroes. I have witnessed some players drive straight passed which is very sad but maybe theyre having an off day or have family issues. Who knows. On the occasions that i have seen Jack he stops and beams at one at all and looks genuinely happy to interract with everybody. I was stuck behind him trying to get out but had to wait even tho i did jokingly shout " hey Jack some of us have got places to be ". We drove out and down Finch Lane. Nearly at the bottom there were another half dozen or so young lads with a parent. He stopped and had pics taken with them all with the same enthusiasm. Great lad.

I was talking to his dad on the train home after a game and he was a top fella too so not surprised that Jack carries himself so well

I have heard the rumors about a loan for next year as well. Not sure that makes more sense to City than selling him, but just depends on other clubs interest, and Jacks willingness to go elsewhere.

Personally, I think a loan would be ideal for us(then lock him up longer term), but even 20-25m would be a no brainer. A. He was on pace for 15 goal involvements and would surely have more with a real striker, and B. He elevates the club in the eyes of other potential transfers. If owners want to make money, you also need big names to sell tickets and merchandise, and he does that at a low cost to us. Do you want to sponsor us having Patterson in your advert, or Grealish?

A loan or fee up to £15mil makes sense with the manager being who he is.

I believe @simonbuttle showed that Barrys expected goals is 5 and hes scored 5 so not sure what you mean by;

"He was on pace for 15 goal involvements and would surely have more with a real striker"

How many BIG chances did Grealish create for Barry? He looked like he massively dropped off since October which certain posters disagreed with - Moyes commented that hed lost some form a while back as well.

Great 2-2.5 months and a big drop off.

For a player in their 30s to be the biggest salary, after a short term impact before a drop off...and the one to slow the play down whether or not thats on Moyes...is a huge risk.

As for this, "owners want to make money, you also need big names to sell tickets and merchandise, and he does that at a low cost to us"

What sponsor is picking Grealish over an England player? Who is buying a ticket to see Grealish slow the play down?

If im buying a ticket to watch an attacking player its for Ndiaye. Hes also best on the left.

I could be well off piste but not sure that Grealish is such a big pull that others think he is.

If Dibling gets going and starts to fulfill his potential then he'll be more attractive to sponsors than Grealish, same with Armstrong and of course Branthwaite.

Why are you talking about sponsors ?

A sponsor doesn't put points on the table..

I think the injury is a real shame because it does make sense to go for a younger, pacier alternative in the summer now

But whoever we sign, they’d likely be a level below Grealish in terms of technical ability, he’s an elite player and since the 80s we’ve only had Kanchelskis, James, Rooney and Grealish of that calibre at the club

Had he not got injured and kept up the form we’d probably be looking to keep him plus sign a development winger

Now I feel like if say Fofana was available again and more willing to join a transfer like that may make more sense

If only we had the 20mil for McNeil lined up we could basically sign Grealish for that you would imagine

Why am I replying to a post including sentences about sponsors and investment using sentences about sponsors?

Not sure, perhaps you can read it and reply to them instead if im not allowed to?
