2025/26 Jack Grealish

We should just buy him while he's injured.

Means no one else will be in for him.

For £25m & £250k week, we've pulled City's pants down.

It's not our money anyway and it's what the player wants that's the most important thing.

Please explain how paying top money for a 30 year old , paying the highest wages in our history and that player having a broken foot … is pulling city’s pats down

I’d sign him but 20m and max 150k wages seems a little expensive but “ fair “ seeing as we will not be able to attract anyone better

Those are the maximum figures that I'd do any deal on too.

He's a good player and clearly makes the team better and those around him seem to be lifted by his presence and ability to retain the ball and win free kicks.

However he does slow play down and therefore restricts to an extent how we play.

Because he raises our profile, sells shirts and wins us free kicks.

As long as he wins free kicks, it's worth it.

Let’s say he would want 3 years…. That’s a £64m write down in 2029.

Whilst I like watching him, I just don’t see he makes that much difference to our results.
Not even his fault tbh, when we don’t have strikers capable of scoring anything he might create, or taking advantage of the defenders he attracts.
But he doesn’t score himself (and never has) so he just doesn’t seem to be the game changer that level of expense would justify for me, certainly not without some major changes to our front line.

Assuming that's a 3 year contract, that would be a total financial package of £64m. Pants down seems a bit of an overstatement.

Lol. I should have read all the way to the end of the thread!

I don’t think Jacks injury has been fully explained, how and when did this injury to his foot occur, had he been playing for a few games with the injury, seems strange he could be playing with such an injury for so long without it being examined.
