2025/26 Jack Grealish

The lack of information about what exactly happened makes it all the more curious, how determined you are to place the blame very specifically on one person. Almost as if there's an agenda, there.

If a player insists upon a certain amount of playing time as a condition of their move, that takes away the element of control to which you refer. I highly doubt the club would want to be known as the type that would renege on deals with key players, lest we make it harder to complete big ticket transfers down the line.

Agenda schmagenda.

Deal with the issue.

...and you see where the injudicious use of him has got us: a player we paid a large loan deal for who we've had 20 games out of and no more than that.

Wouldn't it have been a far better strategy to play Grealish and then rest him every 3 games or so?....or have him come off the bench and limit game time that way?

This is a self-inflicted wound. There's not getting away from it.
Still talking complete codswallop.

There’s other things to have a go at the manager for ya know, this is just weird, a bit like your Patterson hatred.

Embarrassing shock to the twerps on here tossing themselves off at an alleged 3 month layoff. Everton have just refuted any such baseless rumours saying he has not even been assessed yet.
I thought this, who is it who has said it’s 3 months and why? If it is then so be it. Where have Everton refuted it?

Its been 17 hours and nearly a day
Since you took my Jack away
I go out every night and sleep all day
Since you took your foot away
Since you've been gone I can do whatever I want
I can see whomever I choose
I can eat my dinner in a fancy restaurant
But nothing, I said, nothing can take away
these blues

'Cause nothing compares
Nothing compares to you

It's been so lonely without you here
Like DCL without a song
Nothing can stop these lonely tears from falling
Tell me, Grealish, where did I go wrong

I could put my arms around Beto and Barry
But they'd only remind me of you
I went to the doctor and guess what he told me?
Guess what he told me?
He said, "Matt, you better try to have fun no matter what you do,"
But he's a fool

'Cause nothing compares
Nothing compares to you

All the goals you assisted, Grealish, at the Dicky Hill
All died when you went away
I know that living with you, baby, was sometimes hard
But watching Mcneil I'd rather die

Nothing compares
Nothing compares to you
Nothing compares
Nothing compares to you
Nothing compares to you
Not since the memorable summer of 2029 and the unfortunate loss of form of Sam Alloway have I wept with such pride.

Because you can't carry knocks if you only play 3 out of every 4 games?
More genius right here.

Absolutely pathetic and tiring.

Well, if you rest regularly and play less strenuous training sessions the less likely it is that you'll get a stress fracture injury - which is due to repetition at a very high level of training and performance.

This injury looks to me like it's down to the Moyes 'one size fits all' approach to players.

So now you're advocating him not training much either I guess? (after not really addressing the fact that players can carry knocks if they play three out of four games)

Moyes is so far ingrained in your brain, it's concerning and truly frightening, and becoming a real issue for this whole forum.

No, Im advocating he train to a bespoke plan for his needs. There's a massive difference.

They’re football players. Not made of glass. Injuries happen. This is not the fault of David Moyes.

And you, like I, have no idea what his needs are. You, like I, don't know the detail or extent of his injury. You, like I, don't know the cause.

Please, for the good of this forum, stop.

🙄

But they're not all the same. I doubt too many people would agree that if you have a player of Grealish's quality who is so important to us but has had a year of dodgy injuries, joining in every training session and playing every game is the right way to make good use of him.

Yes, injuries happen. But with a player who has a recent record of long lay offs you surely must cut your cloth accordingly and play him more sparingly than Everton have?
