2025/26 Jack Grealish

By my reckoning he'd o ly be available for 3 games at best if the 3 month period is accurate....

Would it be worth cancelling the loan as we cant be paying 250k a week for that long...

Surely its better to put that money towards a replacement and revisit him in the summer?
Could be back for the derby. And then there are like 6 games after that.

I struggle to even get annoyed or upset at these things anymore, genuinely. Every day I just expect to wake up to the news that a key player has been crocked in training. It’s not even remotely enough of a shock to cause me pain at this point.

I feel the same but I think largely due to us being crap for so long. But I still think we have a decent chance of getting into the Conference League spot, so losing him now is a big blow for me.

Even when he wasn't playing particularly well, opposition still had to respect him and he'd still be great at relieving pressure from us with how he can hold onto the ball.

It's not a great look for us as a club looking for a new start if we're prepared to throw a lot of money at Grealish now.

He's been great for us but we cant be seen as the destination for fading stars as we once were.

New era now.

No. I was calling for a rest period for the last 5 weeks or so.

I repeat: I'm not being wise after the event. I posted a lot of times on the need for Grealish to be handed a rest and it's been proven 100% to have been the correct analysis - he SHOULD have been. Moyes continued to play him and play him and play him.

I think we can get a favourable deal from City you know.

He'll have one year left, doubt too many clubs will want to pay 30 odd mil. They can't really afford to have him sitting around for a year on the wages he's on.

I wonder if it's Gareth Barry situation, another loan in summer 2026 with sweetener fee thrown on at the end if it's made permanent in summer 2027.

Jack Grealish likely to miss 9 matches with the player aiming for a return to first team action in April.

Everton needed another creative winger — but now is the time to act or risk this season fizzling out.

Kick in the nads that for the club £2225k a week for an inactive player, but we knew that always a risk when we a deal of this type.

Might have a scenario where we dont have two of our highest earners in Branthwaite and Grealish available for almost all the season.

Suck it up, look from within for a solution, thankfully its an area we have depth and options.

He might only play 2 or 3 more matches. 3 months takes us to near the end of April. And he's ineligible for the City match.

This is really bad news. There's no point spinning it otherwise.
He could be back on Monday and you’d still make a doom scenario

Fact is he isn’t out for the season and will play for us again, barring set backs.

As always, you heard what everyone else had heard but twisted it into stuff like - he may never be the same again!

Catastrophise is your middle name
