2025/26 Jack Grealish

He managed to fill all that space writing about how Moyes told him off for getting sent off and said briefly his form isn’t as good as it was, incredible.

Isn’t it crazy that Grealish hasn’t been as good whilst KDH and Ndiaye haven’t been available and we’ve had a weaker midfield two as well? It’s not rocket science.

The wages thing is always a potential issue although I suspect grealish being on the money would cause me less of a problem than Beto , Coleman , myko and Keane earning more

I enjoyed the first three months of Jack Grealish. Exactly what this club and fanbase needed. A big name on the pitch who was happy to be here and contributed to some good results.

However he really hasn't done much lately. Was looking for him to step up in absence of Ndiaye and KDH and he's been on the fringes to put it mildly.

Of course the limitations at LB don't help but I wouldn't be slapping down a four year 200kpw deal infront of him as soon as the whistle goes for the final game tbh as things stand.

Will be 31 in September so that is plenty to commit on player with no resale value and who has probably peaked in the prem.

I think Moyes will be thinking this is a bit like when he had Lingard at West Ham. He started off brilliantly and Moyes wanted to get him back permanently. It didn't happen, he warmed the bench at Man. United, then went to Forest and did little and now playing in South Korea so that was probably a rare bullet dodged by West Ham.

Grealish should be a cherry-on-top signing not the priority this summer. We need full backs and strikers. Then we can talk about Jack. He let us down badly in our moment of need. On the money he is on, that's not good enough. I'd like to keep a motivated version of him. But the part-time performer he has been of late shouldn't be entertained come summer. A big month or two ahead for this fella.

Needs players on the same or similar level to perform so not surprised form has dropped off abit with no Ndiaye, hall, a decent overlapping fullback and forwards your not confident linking with.

30 year old Grealish is 100 times the player Lingard ever was.

We dont have strikers to make the most of what Gealish can do, if we did we wouldn’t even be discussing his form etc. Without at least KDH or Skiliman on the pitch he’s ineffective and a bit of a waste of money.
It’s like putting a £10k sports exhaust on a £950 fiesta and complaining it doesn’t perform like a Porsche.

If he had showed signs of morphing into a more central playmaker as he ages, then I’d be up for that, as we (hopefully) get proper wingers and players ahead of him. But being employed during his peak years purely to stand on the touchline to draw defenders out wider and make space for KDB and Silva, this hasn’t happened at all.

His quality and nous is undeniable, and miles ahead of our typical players. But a good chance his career as a guaranteed starter at the highest level will close quite quickly if he doesn’t become a slightly different type of player. He’s more than capable. But will we be a good enough team to warrant such a player?
