2025/26 Jack Grealish

Couldn't disagree more, all full backs will do is stand there waiting for lay offs so they can ping crosses into the box, Its a very predictable way of playing and straight out of the Moyes playbook. Id rather lose Grealish and build a team around Ndiaye, Grealish is a luxury player who is fine for a season but not a prema signing imo.
What makes him a ‘luxury player’?
He works really hard, always tracks back, wins loads of free kicks to take pressure off and barely ever loses the ball when he isn’t fouled.

I would definitely buy him if the price and wages were more reasonable and realistic. He loves it here and he will play better again when our better quality players return.

I'm not sure you can have him, Ndiaye, and KDH in the team at the same time tbh, it's all far too slow at times. If we do want too keep Grealish (I wouldn't personally) then Id be tempted to cash in on Illy in the summer and replace him with a pace merchant on that side.

Ndiyae and KDH are quite direct? Grealish definitely slows up the play, but chuck an overlapping full back on his side and watch him become a lot more effective

Not necessarily, having fullbacks who actually overlapped would force opposition defences to cover them leaving more spaces in their shape.

Besides I don’t think Moyes will be in charge next season unless things change massively from our recent form

Just not a fan mate and Id rather we didn't sign him.
100% - wide players over 30 are rare in the Premier League, even rarer in top 6 sides. Salah is the main exception to this rule. Why spend money on a player who slows down the game, hardly scores and is on the decline? It was bad enough wasting £12m on a loan deal. Let’s hope Moyes gets binned off before he can sign him.

Don't move the goalposts Simon. You implied Ndiyae and KDH slow us down. I don't think they do, but I do think Grealish does

As to whether having an overlapping left back makes us more predictable is irrelevant
Don't tell me what I can and can't do mate and yeah I don't think either are especially quick players

Because he’s class

Something we’ve lacked for ages
