2025/26 Jack Grealish

Let's not forget Grealish has given our defence countless breathers when under the kosh due to his slowing down the play and drawing a foul
Our team has problems but Grealish is definitely not one of them

I agree. Our defence was under so much pressure against Wolves we needed the Grealish slow down effect ie. wait for another Wolves player to be drawn towards him and then pass it back or get a foul. The way Grealish plays at times is one of the problems we have as a team.

You aren't at City anymore Jack

Been a real eye opener for him some of the decisions that go against us. He was vocal about the added time ( or lack of ) against the rs and he was absolutely livid on Wednesday with Keanes sending off. When he got sent off he was in the tunnel watching the game on the big screen, he cares and knows he let us down but that red most of frustration had descended on him once Keane got sent off.

its refreshing to have a player that cares that much tbh, especially one whos a major celebrity and footballer

Middling Output?

He's got 6 assists in the league behind only Fernandes and Cherki. Not bad considering what he's working with.

He'll be missed when he's not here next year.
Assists + goals = not in the top 20.
Big chances created = 28th place, just below Sean Longstaff.

Cant get me head around anyone complaining about Jack's actions.
Pathetic getting a red for clapping a decision , its not like its violent conduct FFS.

We get shafted by officials decisions on a weekly basis , of course he gets fustrated and even angry just like the vast majority of our fanbase do.
And none moreso than the treatment from defenders he gets in every game he gets chopped to bits with little or no protection from the officials. Very few get a yellow never mind a red card.

I wish we had another 10 on the pitch with the same attitude as him.

It's the timing, got a yellow for the same already, then commited a foul, then carried on at the ref 5 minutes later. Was always gonna get sent off with that sequence of events.

If it was just the once clapping sarcastically and he got a yellow then reigned it in and got back to the game at hand, fine, but he knew he was walking a tightrope and carried on anyway.

….tbf, applauding the refs decision has been an automatic yellow for as long as I can remember so it was a bit stupid on his behalf. He was genuinely miffed after the Keane decision which at least demonstrated how much the game matters to him.

Yes he was obviously incensed at that moment.

Its just one of many useless rules that are wheeled out as & when needed.

A stronger referee could have defused that very easily by giving Jack a stern word or even speaking to the captain.

He doesn’t give a toss lads.
If he did he wouldn’t have got himself sent off knowing we are already desperately short of players.

A cup exit at the weekend beckons whilst he takes a break.

Jack is just as frustrated as us, you can see it on his face when he's looking round at options, countless stupid errors.
Our inability to be able to put a game to bed when we are on top.

I'm starting to feel like i'm making excuses for him, but it is fact.
Frustration is hitting him..

That card was just it all boiling out at once.
He doesn't care, that's just a lazy excuse to point blame.

Little things like Tim breaking away with Jack as an outlet the whole time but ignored, he knew as much as we knew how that would end.

There are times when I want more from him, that is because he is so good, but the last few games I've a lot of sympathy for him. He has the worst LB in the league behind him and the a terrible striker in Barry in front of him. We look stifled and our decent players are under huge pressure to make the most of the ball because it inevitably breaks down when it goes to the full backs or striker or at the moment anywhere on the right.

As for his red card, you can be annoyed and also treat sportsman as human beings without the stupidity to expect perfection at all times
