2025/26 Jack Grealish

Didn't take long to turn on him.

He's knackered and playing through an injury. His best asset is linking up with players, and his closest team mates are Myko or Beto. You lot deserve Jack Harrison.
I haven't "turned on him" because I'm not a teenage girl.

He hasn't being playing particularly well for a couple of months, and that's my opinion. I've also expressed I think he's been playing whilst injured, which is probably a large part of the reason why.

If I think he starts performing well again, I'll also point that out too 👍

If we rest Grealish on Saturday who are we putting in his place?
Dibling most likely. You are aware we have Grealish, Ndiaye, Dibling and McNeil as wide options right? Or do you think we should have a squad like Chelsea even though we've been skint for the last few seasons? And who could we get who would be better than Dibling and McNeil and who would be happy being a bench player and only playing when Grealish needs a rest?

Our manager doesn’t seem to think Dibling is good enough to play in his own position on the right, let alone in a position he’s never played in his life.

I think we should’ve done what every competent club did in the summer and signed flexible forward players that can play in more than one position to cover for this exact scenario. Ndiaye isn’t an option because he is on international duty, we knew about this international tournament a long time ago and seemingly did nothing to plan for it in the summer. McNeil isn’t an option because he is pants.

Our summer window was a disaster.

Right so we should of bought a raft of players just as cover players for scenarios that happen infrequently during a season and see our finances become restricted in future transfer windows as a result? Or buy these mythical flexible forward players who are happy to sit on the bench all season apart from a couple of games during AFCON or when Grealish needs a rest. McNeil was first choice last season so Moyes obviously has some faith in him as a squad player. Dibling is a talented young player who Moyes needs to trust more. Instead of your idea of bloating the squad maybe a better solution is for Moyes to trust the reserve players especially the young players more. Unlike you I'm not making a definitive judgement on the likes of Dibling and Aznou until they've actually been given a proper chance

:coffee:

Need to watch the hamstring but he has been bench warming for years at Man. City so think he's relishing just playing on a weekly basis again and probably got another 4-5 years left at the top level so every match counts.

I also think in back of Moyes mind no Grealish or Ndiaye against even Wolves standard team and it could be embarrassing result given the struggle to score goals when both are playing so only breather I can see him getting is FA Cup and sure people will debate the rights and wrongs if that is the decision.
