It's been a good season...

So clearly it hasn't been, but if you were told we had to go through this process to force the hand of Moshiri into getting rid of Walsh, Kenwright, Elstone and a clearout of the squad would you have accepted it?

The season is a write off and has been the worst I remember for a while in terms of how much of a mess we appear to be on and off the field, so I'm starting to look ahead to possible positives. As long as the names mentioned above are gone, along with Allardyce at the end of the season and we have a clear plan going forward then it hasn't been in vain.

What other positives can you see resulting from our poor season?
Kenwright ducked and dived to keep us at the top level whilst skint. When he did find the buyer he sold his majority. Whilst we still wait for a trophy, people massively underestimate what that man along with Moyes achieved.

I said from day 1 that Moshiri needed tog et rid of Elstone and Kenwright. He didn't. And, now, here we are.

Is EVERYTHING down to them? Obviously not. Walsh and others play a huge role in all this. But Leaving those two in ANY sense of "authority" completely undermines ANYTHING we want to do going forward. They have no idea how to be successful at anything.

pardon the phrase and, please, don't take this personally but get [Poor language removed]. Kenwright had the opportunity many times to allow us to move on. He never wanted to relinquish his train set. We could have been where City were if he would have acted in the best interest of the club, instead we are struggling to maintain the 'best of the rest'.

Koeman happened, fixture list happened, Europa league qualifiers happened, injury crisis happened, poor recruitment happened, interim manager happened, Sam Allardyce happened, and yet after that perfect storm we’re 9th and looking good for 7th. In amongst all the kopite media glee that we were going down it’s actuslly turned out that we’re still better than most in this league even at our worst.

I remember some months ago there was a thread about spending a season in the championship to get rid of the senior management. Thankfully it's not come to that [yet]. I think there are no guarantees that whoever comes in next won't be worse. It's a gamble I'm not sure I'd want to take.

Positives from the season? Well, in recounting Mrs Lukaku's trip to the African witchdoctor, the Mosh-man presented me one of the best laughs in many a football season. They say laughter is good anti-aging therapy...so that's a positive right there.
You use fewer muscles to smile than to frown.
Even fewer to booooooooooooooo.
