As you all know I have been pro Israel on here, and sometimes it can take an event to put things in prospective and having seen the events unfold in Amsterdam and the media only showing the aftermath and ignoring the anti Arab chants and taking down and destruction of Palestine flags from the Tel Aviv "fans" I've had time to think about the whole thing and I feel that I may have fallen fallen for propaganda of western media, if the translations on the videos I've seen are accurate then groups of people chanting about children in Gaza shows this is beyond political and there is a hatred within Israeli people. I had been vocal enough on the issue and know a few have put me on ignore because of my opinions, so I wish to apologise to anyone I pissed off, @Prevenger17 (not sure you'll see this) @Noisy noise annoys and anyone else I've gotten involved with.

Ah no worries mate, that's a really great thing to able to self-reflect like that. FWIW, I certainly think there are a lot of good Israeli people who are just as repulsed by what is happening, even as many others support it. The actions of their bloodthirsty government and reprehensible Prime Minister certainly don't inform my overall opinion of Israel.

I simply hate the amount of needless death being visited on children and the gutless western media spin of it. It's murder plain as, and it genuinely depresses me to think about it. So it's something I have a fairly hair-trigger opinion of, especially when it comes to people who seem revel in it. I'm really happy you have taken another look at this. Let's go back to squabbling about the environment and put it all behind us

Groups of grown men chanting about children in war zones shows that there is major issues among some Israeli people, the fact that these chants haven't gotten much coverage has shown me the bias within media.

Totally agreed, however think of the behaviour of England fans over the years, chanting and acting in disgusting ways but I would tar all English people with the same brush. It's the media narrative that's the scary part, in lots of different stories. How can you trust their views on Russia? Covid? Climate etc or is it just isreal they are bias about?

The UK and the US are bought off by the Israel lobby.

Friends of Israel donates money in the UK to both Labour and the Tories. In the US (AIPAC) give money to buy influence for Isreal.

Effectively the governments continued support is bought. That's why they'll continually defend them, regardless of their actions.

I recall after the invasion of Iraq, I went straight to my nearest Starbucks, followed by an all day ENGLISH breakfast at my local spoons. Wonderful company and people, although some folk did smell of urine, (probably immigrants mind you)
