As for growth rate decreasing by 2.7% - that will still yield an increase per annum of 0.3%, as for the bolded bit - that's not fact, that's conjecture.

The birth rate is falling from 2.7% to already 1% and will continue to fall further - genocide.

It is an internationally recognised genocide so strange and frankly very suspect that you will do and say anything to pretend otherwise.

I would say that definition of a genocide is more about intent than 'success'

Even if the population of the affected group is increasing overall, doesn't mean that genocidal intent is not present.

When using the ICJ's definition of genocide a huge factor is the intent to destroy.

In my opinion using the ICJ's definition I would say they are committing genocide. It comes down to alot more than just the slaughter of the people.

Myself as a farmer/land worker I read lots to do with how Israel's military operations are impacting Gazas farmers. And mate it's bleak reading.

The deliberate targeting and destruction of cropland, olive trees etc. think it's something like 40% of agricultural land in Gaza has been deliberately destroyed by the IDF since October, deliberate as they aren't just bombing it but bulldozing it to.

This would fall under on of the ICJ's criterias for genocide

"Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part"

Anyway this isn't me saying hey here's the concrete evidence this is genocide, just highlighting an aspect of the current situation (that I have a particular interest in) that could fall under the ICJ's definition.

Thanks for the civil reply mate, that makes perfect sense - however 'genocidal intent' isn't 'genocide' in the same sense as 'attempted murder' isn't murder'.

I disagree with the ICJ's definition as it isn't literal - therefore it's alarmist.

I'm basing my OPINION on the land-grabbing aspect of it mate. Ethnic cleansing can be in relation to an area being cleansed of a demographic. A genocide is a mass extermination of a demographic.

Genuine question, why, when so many international bodies have called it a genocide and with clear evidence provided are you so determined to excuse Israel - almost to the point of absurdity? And why is ethnic cleansing more acceptable?
