What happened on October 7th was abhorrent. There is no defence for that.
But I’m not sure how on Earth you can say Israel’s cause is more worthy, noble and justified. It’s one set of people killing another set of people. There is nothing worthy, noble and justified about this.
It is innocent people being killed in the tens of thousands because of a lack of care from either side for human life. No one is a winner here and to use terms like worthy, noble and justified is pretty grim to be honest.

@Cork Evertonian In the 80s I was a strong supporter of Israel against the majority of my fellow students who were all pro- PLO.
The behaviour of Israel since then has made me completely withdraw my support for aggressive Zionism, the illegal activities of the settlers, this current regime in particular, and I see the IDF as war criminals by their massacres of innocents.
If the British had behaved like the IDF in NI in trying to wipe out the Republican armies, the world would be outraged.
We are still disgusted at Bloody Sunday when 26 unarmed civilians were shot and 14 died (one 4 months later).
The deaths and injuries caused by the IDF and Netanyahu are genocide, war crimes, sinful under Hebrew Law and completely inexcusable.
I hope you can think about this carefully. Hamas have done terrible things, so did Republican armed groups and Loyalists but it does not justify genocide of innocents.

The Civil Defence Agency in Hamas-run Gaza said that 15 people were killed in a strike on a school sheltering war displaced where the Israeli military said it had targeted "terrorists".

That's my honest opinion. I agree that Netanyahu is a problem but the other problem is that Gaza is under the control of terrorist's.
While that situation continues to be so then peace is very unlikely. I don't see the IDF as terrorists. I see them as people who's job is to protect and defend Israel and to keep the real terrorist's Hamas in check.
