100% and I hold my hand up to conveniently ignoring many of the Palestinian attacks on their occupiers. The reason being is that, they are simply their occupiers.

The level s of violence LONG BEFORE Oct 7th

As for peaceful solution - it would involve a lot of forgiveness on behalf of the palestinians and a lot of reparations and land return from Israel....

Wonder why Israel don't like the UN ....

Israel is indifferent to the UN. It considers it an irrelevance. It served its purpose when it stamped the state into existence in 1948. Beyond that, it may as well not exist as far as Israel is concerned.

If you listen to most of their diplomats and Eylon Levy you'll realise they don't like the UN because they expose a lot of the dodgy stuff their state does. They have repeatedly claimed that anything the UN says is biased and that they don't listen to anything the UN has to say.

They're not indifferent to the UN at all.

They may have gone too far this time. Well they've already gone too far, but now they've gone completely off the edge of the screen.

No country on earth should stand by this action - it puts every diplomat at risk, and destroys the whole notion of diplomatic immunity. It is deliberately aimed at escalation into a regional war that noone except the top of the Israeli government wants.

I would kick the ambassador out right now, as part of coordinated action from the rest of the world to break off diplomatic ties until the decision makers behind this attack are in international custody facing trial.

Israel is a disgrace.

Any country supplying them with missiles and bombs now have this blood on their hands. A pox on any country who supports them.

Definitely need a change of government now. All they are doing is painting a bigger target on their backs.

I would like to think the whole population doesn't think the same way as the politicians, but tbh I haven't really been keeping up with it as It winds me up seeing what is happening to the poor kids in Gaza.

Apparently there have been big demonstrations against Netanyahu in Israel recently.

Netanyahu, as mentioned here, seems more concerned in saving his own political career then the ramifications of his actions.
I don't know what he is thinking in poking the Iranian hornets nest, whether he is trying to divert attention away from the growing protests against him in Israel or what? But whatever credibility his regime still had left seems to be eroding fast to all but the most zealous & war hungry supporters.
