This ruling has sounded utterly damning so far.
its plain to see except for the people in the pockets of the Israelis ie. the labour and tory parties

Sunak, Starmer, Biden and Trump fuming listening to this. This ruling has sounded utterly damning so far.
But they won't. And it's on other countries to stop them, which they won't.Israel must:
i) take all measures to prevent genocide under Article 2 of the Genocide Convention
ii) ensure with immediate effect that its military forces do not commit any of the aforementioned acts
iii) must punish those inciting genocide
iv) must take immediate and effective measures to provide urgently needed supplies needed for life in Gaza
v) must also preserve evidence of acts committed against Article 2 and 3 against Gazans
vi) report to the Court stating they have done i-v above within ONE MONTH
-but then there's no denial of performing genocide? But they won't. And it's on other countries to stop them, which they won't.![]()

Sounds to me like the court has taken the cowardly approach of not commenting on what Israel HAS done, but rather is focusing on what they SHOULD NOT do from now. Basically ignore the 30,000 deaths and please don't continue to do what you've been doing.
I am thick though so can anybody tell me if this is likely to stop the killing any time soon?

Effective immediately is my understanding. This is what they were asked to do by South Africa - issue interim directions of what Israel must do, pending a full examination of the case.
They have delivered that in an almost total victory for SA. The Court's directions are not "must immediately ceasefire" but the implication of the ruling should be that this stops by the time the next report comes around, in one month. If they've not complied then there would probably be much stronger measures.
Mad that (but I don't know exactly what was requested... assumed it was to immediately stop the killing). Basically "stop doing the things you've been doing and report back in a month".This is what they were asked to do by South Africa - issue interim directions of what Israel must do, pending a full examination of the case.

How does anybody afford Israel will give a fair report and stop killing evenly everybody when they've lied about their actions at every step.
Very disappointed here.
