That's now the broader problem for the Israeli government. Bad enough to set themselves up for failure five or ten years down the road, but they're spending the most valuable coin they had: the pro-Israeli bias in Western mainstream media. Anything the Israeli government says is now covered with a jaundiced eye, and settler attacks on Palestinians in the West Bank have become part of the conversation.
Murdoch's outlets remain happy to pander to the Israeli lobby and the Christian Zionists with the same one-sided coverage.
WaPo is reporting an imminent deal to release 50+ women and children in return for a five day 'pause' in fighting. Reuters and some smaller outlets over here are picking that up, but none of the major news networks or NYT are touching it yet. Decent chance the US government told the networks to zip it until it's done, as Netanyahu has been denying the whole thing claiming concerns that a leak could burn any deal.

The narrative makes me wonder if the rift with his parents is real, or if he's just saying what his father can't publicly say and has to disavow. He conveniently embarked on a crusade against his father's enemies before the supposed rift, and is now trying to shift any blame for October 7 away from him.

There is no rift with his parents, and his whole existence in Miami is a giant f-you to his father's political opponents.
Nothing says that a leader doesn't fear the consequences of his actions than protecting his son whilst putting hundreds of thousands of other people's sons at risk.
