Current Affairs Israel is an apartheid state

I see that when interviewed, several students on a pro-Palestine March weren’t even aware of what happened on 7th October. There is definitely a generational gap in both understanding and approach to this issue. When I’ve asked certain posters how old they are, I never get a reply, not sure why, can’t believe they are ashamed or anything. Yet the same people call us older posters, racist etc as a generalisation. So I’ll give it a go. Gen Z appear to be lovely people who really don’t have a clue. The next age group up to 40 think they are very smart, quote stuff from 50 years ago without any knowledge of what was actually going on then. Those below 50 hate the British people for some reason and prefer a Corbynesque utopia in which all people can roam around freely. And then we have the over 60, 70,80 who unfortunately experienced all of this crap but whom are disbelieved by the kids currently accepting all this PR crap. Yet the same people who welcomed immigration from Commonwealth countries are today branded racist by the kids who haven’t a clue….
This has zero to do with my age,Pete (you asked me in the recent past). I’m 48 but for 30 odd years (before hamas) I have been protesting against the systematic torture of an entire nation by another. It’s that simple.
It does seem like a load of boomers ignore cold hard historical facts and just decide that israel is acting reasonably. You have ignored countless measured responses from posters far more articulate than me (not hard I know) and continued down the October 7th route.
It’s not debate when you ignore facts and focus on one incident, it’s just boorish

If it were white Christian’s getting liquidised by isrsel you’d 100% have a very different opinion.

It's interesting that the one time US special forces go in there they get "shot to pieces", and yet the Israelis are reporting that Hamas has killed fewer Israeli soldiers than the Israelis have killed journalists since October 7.

I am deeply suspicious of the official numbers coming out of the Israeli government. I'm not saying they're wrong. The numbers are within the realm of possibility if you believe the ones from 2014, but I'm suspicious.

Can't be long before drunky invents his latest fictional career as a former UN diplomat or something, anything to delay his palpable fear of irrelevance. He certainly won't do you actually have to do to be relevant in any discussion, and that is realise the need for informing yourself doesn't automatically end at a certain age.

There must be a dunning kruger curve specifically for drunk old tories.

Anyway, here is a nice snipet from Jon Stewart

If Zionism is the problem in occupied Palestine. Then the solution must be for Zionism to step aside and return the occupied territories to their rightful owners. A brave and commendable person. More and more people are speaking out against Zionism.

I'm 86 and I object to the actions of Israel.
In fact I've objected since the Zionists were terrorists killing British soldiers.
The creation of the state of Israel was in my opinion, the greatest mistake of the 20th century.
That's easily Mao offing some thirty to forty million of his own citizens through an ignorance of basic science and economics, and no one having the clout to gainsay him until the results were staring everyone in the face.

If you want to limit the conversation to intentional actions, that one would be in the discussion.
