I must say that I'm a bit anxious about Saturday

I don't actually think there will be much trouble from the protesters themselves, but I worry that there will be groups out to intercept them and turn this into the punch up the government wants it to be so that they have an excuse to crack down on protesting in general
100%
A few dinosaur casuals and a few angry young protestors and it plays right into Braverman slimy paws.

Any minor incident will be made out to be a lot more serious than it is.

There'll be agent provocateurs at that pro-Palestine march on Sunday. It'll kick off.

Then the politics of this will really take off here. The Tories are determined to turn the heat up on Starmer and will exploit any division's Starmer's cowardice has him by demanding that 'Labour' condemn the pro-Palestinain cause.

The fact they are taking a pre-approved route that avoids the cenotaph shows that the organisers have respect for remembrance observation

Adolfa Braverman knew that of course, but she's stoked flames regardless

It is a very badly thought out idea IMO.

I agree.
Nothing much has changed with the Tories since Thatcher.
I remember a meeting in Derby Square 1984, miner's strike time.
Degsy and Ken Livingstone from London speaking.
Infiltrators there were trying to stir up aggro.
Nearby there were streets full of white vans with Maggie's militia, waiting for an excuse to bash us.
Same tactics now for sure.
