I see that when interviewed, several students on a pro-Palestine March weren’t even aware of what happened on 7th October. There is definitely a generational gap in both understanding and approach to this issue. When I’ve asked certain posters how old they are, I never get a reply, not sure why, can’t believe they are ashamed or anything. Yet the same people call us older posters, racist etc as a generalisation. So I’ll give it a go. Gen Z appear to be lovely people who really don’t have a clue. The next age group up to 40 think they are very smart, quote stuff from 50 years ago without any knowledge of what was actually going on then. Those below 50 hate the British people for some reason and prefer a Corbynesque utopia in which all people can roam around freely. And then we have the over 60, 70,80 who unfortunately experienced all of this crap but whom are disbelieved by the kids currently accepting all this PR crap. Yet the same people who welcomed immigration from Commonwealth countries are today branded racist by the kids who haven’t a clue….

pete, watch what @Wat Tyler posted earlier

people aren't protesting because of Corbyn, because they are naive, or because they are antisemtic

They are protesting because disabled men are being executed for throwing stones. Because Chevening Scholars are being bombed. Because hospitals, mosques and churches are being attacked. Because children are being blown to bits. Because men, women and children are being starved. Because racists are trying to conduct an ethnic cleansing.

I am no fan of Piers Morgan but this interview is well worth watching as he just lets the interviewee speak for the majority. How this man can be so level headed after what he has gone through is a message to all of us. There has been way too much death in this conflict/war over the years. Blame whoever you want for the cause of it but now is the time for a ceasefire and trying (as difficult as it may be) to try and find some sort of peace and a state for Palestine and a state for Israel. I realise this is fanciful but it’s the only way out and hopefully we can get there soon.

As the youngsters would say... Yikes. And by youngsters I of course mean your own definition, which apparently anyone under 60.

I'd always suspected the PeteBlue vision of the UK's youth was some sort of Carry On Camping style experience of everyone getting a go on Babs, but we (I say we, whilst not being young, but still apparently in Pete's 'don't have a clue' era) want more than access to your own teenage wankbank.

I am neither under 50 or over 60. Why are you trying to deny the existence of my entire decade Pete???????

I'm not. It's a humanitarian catastrophy in the mids of war that Hamas kick started into effect.
This happens in every single war in the history of man kind. Human suffering. It's sad and horrible.
The propaganda thats flying about is staggering. And the creeping and subtle antisemitism too.
Reality is that it's been Israeli governmental policy for a couple of decades now to degrade, debase, dehumanize and kill Palestinians, then hide behind antisemitism as a means of concealing the truth.

Some of us are tired of it.

I'm not a boomer, I'm a WW2 surviver and on this issue I agree with Pete.
That is,the different understanding of many younger people.
I do support the anti Israeli government and pro palastinian protest marches though.
Younger people see the older generations as having screwed up the world. They just don't realise that their generation will do exactly the same thing.
