That’s just disgraceful tbh…6 million Jews were killed, six million…think about that number…next Sunday, Remembrance Sunday we will be paying respect to the 1.3 million British military killed since WW1…again look at the number 1,300,000, yet barely a quarter of what the Jews suffered in WW2…….

The men you claim were named 'Beria' are footnotes, if they in fact exist. History has only one Beria of note. There's no possibility of confusion if I omit the first name. You recognize the name, or you don't, the same way you recognize 'Machiavelli' or do not irrespective of whether I mention that 'Niccolo' was his first name.
The above handy tool permits searching by name or unit for all of the soldiers who served during the Civil War. The events at Sand Creek took place in 1864, so this qualifies. The tool correctly identifies principals Col. John Chivington, Maj. Scott J. Anthony and Maj. Edward Wynkoop as assigned to the 1st Colorado Regiment, Cavalry. (It looks like Wynkoop's rank of major was a brevet promotion from captain.) A search of said regiment turns up no 'Beria' or anything close, whether I organize by first or last name. A search of 'Beria' for all soldiers during the Civil War turns up a 'Pvt. Jaekin Beria' in Connecticut and a 'Capt. Berea Baldwin' in Illinois where the records are a little sketchy on his middle initial.
I conclude that you, or an AI tool, invented details in the initial post. That violates the most basic expectation of civil discourse. Then, you compounded the lie in your reply. You did not come across the name 'Beria' while studying Sand Creek, because he did not exist.

So do we feel worse for the Russians because they lost more than those 2 numbers combined and give them a free pass in Ukraine? No.
We remember not just to pay respect to those that fought, but that we remember that wars and genocide are wrong and should be prevented.
Israel are committing genocide. The rightful pursuit of the terrorist Hamas organisation does not excuse the murder of innocent civilians and the infrastructure and services needed to survive.
And yet, here they are, visiting the same atrocities on the Palestinians.

A very good point. They are, like so many before them, the by-product of years of propaganda and indoctrination that is fuelled by the state et al.
I go back to the example of the Hitlerjugend and BDM and how innocent children (all children are born innocent) were to become the epitome of racism.
When you live in a country that is sadly sweltering with injustice, oppression and nullification, it isn't surprising that many of the youth display these traits.
