Saying that Erdogan has suggested Turkey taking security responsibility for Gaza and possibly Jerusalem. That is not going to work.

I only had it on for about a minute but seemed they were suggesting that there are talks with Erdogan and the Vatican. If so, let us hope that one of the many conversations clearly happening come up with an answer ASAP.

Noticing every BBC news report these days on this subject starts with "death toll has risen by another 2000 Gazans" and then followed by some tearjerker piece from an Israeli needing to remind us how bad Hamas are as if it makes the previous fact somehow okay.

His wife's mum and dad are both British citizens and are in Deir el Balah, and can't get out because of the bombing (Yousaf's doctor brother in law and his family are also over there). Yousaf has repeatedly given public, and no doubt private, messages to Sunak on this subject.

Were they to be harmed (or worse), Sunak is going to be left with either defending a policy that has led directly to British citizens being hit, or reacting in the right way (ie: boot the Israeli ambassador out and do a complete 180).

The first will be absolutely impossible to sustain given that even our media will have to report on why it was a Scots grandmother and her son / grandchildren has been bombed by our allies, and the second would result in all of his backing being removed due to a backlash from the lobby. Either way, he is done.

Thank you, appreciate the reply. It's just hard to imagine Subak abandoning the position that he's doing us all a massive favour by being PM. But you lay out a credible scenario, once again appreciate it.

Exactly. The rise of anti-Muslim sentiment and attacks are on the rise too, but the MSM aren;t getting lobbied every 5 'kin minutes by pro-Muslim groups.

Russia is certainly not ostracized cause more than half the world support them, including two most populous countries in the world. Its naive to think that especially China (secretly or not) not supply them. Not because some big mutual love but classic old enemy of my enemy is my friend .
Not to mention Europe itself continue to buy Russian oil through India.

Seems to me too many people (especially on English speaking forums/social media) conflate the "world" with America and Europe only.
