Palestine hasn't ever been a country, and hasn't owned any of the land.

Israel should be showing far more retraint IMO but lets not make the Palestinian and arab world authorities out to be angels in this confilct.

The map isn't bollocks because it shows how much land is currently under Palestinian control.

It's probably caused offence to some because it can be construed as saying a country called "Palestine" exists, which is why it'll have been taken down.
