Current Affairs Israel is an apartheid state

Imagine claiming to support Jews by repeatedly linking a paper that literally supported Hitler.

You want to talk about history?

What year did the arab palestinians, in their current identity, have complete authority, control and ownership of the land ?

Could you also prove Aboriginies and native Americans are occupiers as well?

Why are those Palestinians in UK and US waving Al Qaeda and ISIS flags?

Why are they chanting the same as Nazi's...seeing as you brought them up?

Anti Zionism = Anti Semitism.
Which sort of zionist do you support?

The ones that want to live in peace with the Palestinians or the ones who want to forcibly transfer them to another country and make all the land from the Jordan to the Mediterranean exclusively Jewish?

Or even the real crazies who think that Israel should extend from the Nile to the Euphrates?

Is opposing any of them antisemitic?

Zionism is actually quite a broad church.

You guys seem like reasonable, well balanced, informed and tolerant progressives. For example, the response below to a woman who was stabbed to death.

I have a couple of questions from things I keep seeing. Maybe you lot can enlighten me with your wisdom?

What does free Paliestine mean?
Has Paliestine ever been a country?
What borders and from when do you want?
What does this saying mean “from the river to the sea Paliestine must be free”, and would you say it?
What is Zionism? Which Zionists are bad? Do they control the media?

Just themes I see over and over that I would like to understand, so I can be as well informed as you guys.

They wont read this: https://www.newsweek.com/im-palesti...esponsible-any-bloodshed-gaza-opinion-1835360

Because thats not the 'type' of Palestinian they support. There's a 'type' of Palestinian they seem to have invented...

...one that they can't quite describe.

You havent answered my questions.

I'm not interested in your questions, which betray a facile understanding of the conflict.

I can understand people who claim that anti-zionism is antisemitism, because at the most basic level, Zionism is merely the belief that Israel, the country, should exist, in that bit of land, and the land of Israel is a fundamental part of many Jewish people's identity.

I also would agree that there are people who use it as a figleaf for antisemitism.

I just wanted to illustrate to you that there's quite a lot more to many people's versions of zionism than just that, and that just saying "antizionism = antisemitism" is unhelpful, just as comparing Israelis to nazis is unhelpful. It shuts down debate.

Zionism was a fringe idea within the Jewish community until the late 19th-early 20th Century, and there are still many, many Jews who do not consider themselves to be zionists. Are they antisemitic?

In which case there should be multiple clear distinctions between Jews, Israeli Jews and Israel and their belief structures.

There are also faiths within Judaism which not only follow the female bloodline, but the male one. We can divide things up any way, by individual, group or nation.

None of which have anything to do with wanting the destruction of Israel and all Jews. But the 'freedom' of Palestinians seems to be targeted away from their oppressors and towards Israel and the Jews.

This is the point which is clear and seemingly being ignored (as you have) when there is a clear and simple answer.

Excellent post

Jews existed for thousands of years before Zionism was even a construct.

I suspect there are probably millions of Jews around the world who are against Zionism.

Stop thinking israel speaks for the whole Jewish community.
He’s a guy that thinks murdering thousands of innocent people is justified due to the actions of a terrorist group.

Have a read what they say about Iran, Saudi etc and others close to Israel.

--"I'm too educated to believe that governments are capable of propping up extremist groups to destabilise"--

What? You don't believe Iran pays Hamas over $100mil a year and has been paying them 10s of millions per annum to do their bidding -- which is exactly that, to destabilise.

You don't believe Hezbollah is an Iran backed terror group -- in just the same way that Wagner group was backed by Russia (denied until recently).

You're "too educated" to believe these facts?

That’s not refuting or disproving what I said about Israel’s apartheid policy is it

What about them is not a defence and proves you got nothing
