Hamas won’t exist no matter what they want. The Israelis want Gaza under the control of the Palestinian state from the Westbank. They want them joined up politically and socially with the Palestinian President in charge. Israel then just walks away and gets on with its own problems…..

Delusion. The Hamas leadership resides in Qatar. It will still exist, even if it's massively depleted, and there are several other militant Palestinian factions who will choose the path of violence against Israel whatever the cost.
Razing Gaza will solve nothing.

I think two state solution is possible when Hamas is out of the picture. They basically have held their people at hostage since they rise to power (via real elections)

What does a two state solution look like for Palestinians? They've lost 80-90% of their state. Is Israel going to give any back?

Its virtually impossible to replace or destroy an entity like Hamas unless you can offer their base a better alternative. The Israeli government hasnt offered anything better that will improve the lives of Palestinians.

The British government realised this around about the mid 80's with the IRA and began back channels that ultimately led to the GFA. The nationalist population havent looked back.

Obviously many parts will be destroyed in the process, but in the end the Palestinians will be assisted no doubt by many countries to rebuild but Israel will have nothing to do with them. The two existing bits of Palestine will join and there will be a two state solution, Israel and Palestine, neither of which will be dependent on the other, unlike now where Gaza depends on Israel for water etc. I thought that was what you wanted…..

Contact your TD/MP/MEP union official, whatever. Right thinking people have to speak up. What Hamas did 2 weeks ago was a terrorist act of pure evil, what Netanyahu is doing is attempted genocide.

If the Israelis are not ‘persecuting’ Palestinians because Israel has given up any responsibility for them, then any excuse for terrorist activity is removed. Many on here are crying out for ‘Free Palestine’, well now they are going to get it…….I’ve said it before, the people of Gaza should have been working to stand on their own two feet anyway, with power and water plants etc and not rely on Israel for anything. The need for a Hamas or other such terrorist organisation goes away……
