I see Israel are suggesting that after eliminating Hamas they intend to completely isolate the Gaza Strip and put a DMZ around it, then remove all Israeli supplies of water and power and let them get on with it…….

So sad if true.

Pete that strategy is basically the same strategy Netanyahu has tried at least four times previously, and it has led to the horror of these past two weeks.

If Israel is ever going to thrive, they have to ditch him.

It wasn't "everyone in the west" at all - Biden did, some media did, the "OSINT community" did and the usual people on here did. Even Sunak and Cleverly said they'd wait to find out before apportioning blame (though given how bad their week has been, they will probably say it was Hamas several hours after it becomes blatantly obvious it was the IDF), and there was widespread acceptance early on who was likely responsible.

Meanwhile the IDF have demanded five schools in Gaza City evacuate "as fast as possible", according to UNRWA.

It is currently 11pm there, the area is still being bombed, there are no streetlights and we are probably talking of above 10,000 people affected. Again, this is hours after Hamas released two hostages.

That Bellingcat lot were being praised on here a few days ago as the gold standard in objective reporting....
