Absolutely heartbroken at the hospital bombing. No words. Not sure how anyone can justify that from Israel. If there's a means to an end of Hamas and that involves blowing up hundreds of innocent people, then get me off this world.

The British government voted for no ceasefire, no humanitarian aid, no crossing the border to Egypt unless the UN condemn Hamas. It's like saying the Good Friday Agreement can't be signed unless in the text there is a condemnation of Sein Fein/IRA. Talk about playing with the lives of Gazans for political point scoring is itself beyond contempt. If that resolution had been implemented then the IDF may not have bombed a hospital.

How do you tink the west benefits in the current climate from an escaltion and war in the middle east? I just don't see this as opportune for us, Putin and Iran 100% yes, but not us.

'How does the west benefit from an escalation and war in the Middle East' is a western centric view of the world. Benefit and loss analysis. Monday nights vote at the UN calling for a ceasefire, humanitarian aid, the opening of the border with Egypt was voted against by the UK, the US, Japan and France. Because it didn't 'condemn Hamas', was the UKs reason.That vote may have stopped the IDF from bombing a hospital.

The official line being reported by Likud on Newsnight is saying it was a missile fired from Gaza that misfired and fell onto missiles stored in the hospital yard causing a large explosion.
