What I don't understand is the "unconditional support for Israel" that the US is throwing there. I get it, Israel has had massive atrocities being done as we speak. I just don't get how every other thing they've done in the recent days that might have been provoking to this point is being met with "unconditional support".

Shouldn't it literally just be a straightup ceasefire? Thousands of innocents are going to die for things they don't have any interest in making a stand on. The average human just wants to die in peace. They just want to go home, hang out with whatever/whomever and wake up the next morning. They don't want to get carpet bombed because some fuckwits decided to shoot up a festival.

I seriously just don't get how they don't see an eye for an eye isn't working for the last 80 years.

Enough American voters across the political spectrum place Israel on a pedestal and no politician is going to challenge that.
Have met numerous Americans that support and protest for any social justice cause, that turn into rabid racists and fascists at the mention of Palestinians.
Dated one girl that was at an anti-koch brothers rally on the Saturday and when I picked her up Sunday. She was helping at a function to raise funds for weapons for 'settlers'

Thats inaccurate. The change to twitter in the last 6 months has completely flipped what it was, primarily due to the verification process.

It was a place that you could get overwhelming accurate and verified news in times of actual breaking news, I'm thinking about the Bataclan attack, Manchester arena bombing and so on.

Its just rife now with false and misleading information at the moment in a vastly increased way than before. A news agency owned by Netenyahu family put out that story of beheaded babies that was instantly taken up as gact, despite IDF stating that they've no evidence of it.

Its plausible deniability for rouge states and bad faith actors.

It was never a place where you could get overwhelmingly accurate information - yes, people did tweet things that turned out to be true but there was an awful lot of complete garbage and it was present at every major incident (and dozens of imagined ones).

The place is designed to spread information, real or false, and the worse the information is the more widely it’s spread. Musk should lose control of it, but only because it’s been shut down.

Yep. It's all well and good to say that social change must come from the pathway of Gandhi and King, but that can't happen without media attention and a fair hearing. In the absence of those things, all that remains to draw attention to the problem is violence, and the more corpses the better when it comes to drawing attention.

Violence makes the problem harder to solve, but if no other solution exists, desperate people resort to it because on occasion it works. She's right, but Western media outlets aren't willing to acknowledge this harsh truth because we have our own disenfranchised elements at home that they don't want to embolden.
