Sorry mate and as I have stated he is a fantastic player, he'd walk into our side easy for example. He isn't world class though right now - Im talking about the true elite of players: Ronaldo, Messi, Iniesta, Van Persie, Ibramovich, Lahm etc.
He's still young so could turn out that way though. So Im not trying to demean him, he's a very good player.

He has the skill mate. No-one doubts that. Needs to deliver when it really matters though.
The lads above make a valid point about how he's managed. If he'd been managed by Fergie for the last few years there's no doubt he'd have been awesome.

No one can doubt he's a great player mate, even we're not that biased!
But despite his great goals record this season, I don't see him on the level of the likes of Ronaldo, Messi, RVP and Rooney. All players that do it every year regardless of opposition.

Saurez is fantastic against struggling teams, no doubt about it. But in the big games, not as great. You need to be doing it against the top four teams in the league to be called world class in my book, not against a second rate Norwich team.
Its similar to the likes of Eden Hazard, Frankie Lampard, Matt Le Tissier and Kanchelskis. Some of the best players I've seen on their day but genuine best in the world bracket? I'd have to say no. But that's no hardship as they're all utterly brilliant.
Saurez is fantastic against struggling teams, no doubt about it. But in the big games, not as great. You need to be doing it against the top four teams in the league to be called world class in my book, not against a second rate Norwich team.
He reminds me more of a Tony Yeboah, come into England with a few fantastic seasons but will ultimately peter out and go back abroad and have a very decent career without ever making it into the world class bracket.
Then again with Le Tissier it was more he was a one club man and only had eyes for Southampton, with Suarez you get the feeling he's just biding his time until a decent CL team start sniffing around and he'll be off

You've got to say the europa is our aim. Getting 4th ahead of a team like Utd is probably a step too far for either of us. But there's no shame in that. Not sure we could cope with the Cl with our current squads.

Agree. people need to check the blue tinted specs at the door here. Suarez has developed into an incredible finisher. World class in every sense of the word. The only other PL striker who compares is Aguero, and he plays in a far superior team. RVP may also count, but frankly you don't know if he is ever going to be the same player as he was for the last two seasons.
any of us would swap their left bollock for a player with Suarez's ability.
best player for me though is Yaya Toure. The complete midfielder this season.
