I saw a clip of him answering a few questions during a recent visit to BMD and he seemed genuinely excited about how the stadium has turned out. It was funny hearing him talk about the best atmosphere ever at an Everton game and he said the 94 game v Wimbeldon, and that he was on the pitch after and took some of the pitch home after.

Is right. He’s not an Everton Legend, but he might be an Evertonian Legend, given that no matter how much crap has been thrown at him and how much success he had elsewhere, he still follows Everton and wants us to do well.

Really? Wayne Rooney is the first first that comes to mind when you consider a new ground and encouraging interest? From a global perspective yes, from an evertonian one, nah. I suppose they want to attract investment with his face at the forefront.
