He`s definitely not an Everton legend, but he definitely seems to love the club. I saw a clip of him answering a few questions during a recent visit to BMD and he seemed genuinely excited about how the stadium has turned out. It was funny hearing him talk about the best atmosphere ever at an Everton game and he said the 94 game v Wimbeldon, and that he was on the pitch after and took some of the pitch home after.

Mad how he’s managed to get to see the ground ahead of actual Everton legends. It makes me sick.

He and his family were shouting about wanting to leave months before he did, at one point he wanted to go to Newcastle and was caught lying about Everyon and Moyes in his first autobiography, whuch Moyes sued him for.

What self respecting scouser would sign for a club who sing what they do about scousers

Not for me

Is right. He’s not an Everton Legend, but he might be an Evertonian Legend, given that no matter how much crap has been thrown at him and how much success he had elsewhere, he still follows Everton and wants us to do well.

Although I might be saying that just to spite Spitty.

While I can understand that, I think it'll have been driven from Rooney's side. He's there with his agent who has been desperately pushing him everywhere to keep him relevant - hoping people forget Plymouth.
Yeah, ive no issue with him increasing our profile and his own, its a little puff piece that suits both parties.

Really? Wayne Rooney is the first first that comes to mind when you consider a new ground and encouraging interest? From a global perspective yes, from an evertonian one, nah. I suppose they want to attract investment with his face at the forefront.

There is several other blues I’d rather see but alas.
