Is This The Worst Season In Living Memory (Relatively)?

I just thought I'd pose this question because, on the back of 7th place last season and more money spent than ever, this season promised so, so much.
Instead, it's been an abysmal season, pretty much since the first kick of the season.
We did, of course, have much worse seasons in the early 1980s and at various times throughout the 1990s but our expectations were nowhere near as high as they were in the summer of 2017.
So for me, this has to be the worst season relatively speaking. Out of all cups at practically the first hurdle and three managers by Christmas. Enough said!
Par for the course

I think this one feels worse because we all got dead excited in the summer, but when you’re in the eye of the storm it’s more intense obviously. We’ll probably romanticise this era in a couple of years (when we’re 13th in league 1 we’ll look back with a warm fuzzy feeling).

We had some bad seasons in the 90s but we're always good fir a derby victory which put some gloss on those campaigns. Now we can't even win a derby and they have one of the most exciting teams in Europe to add to our misery.

Think we have been bad pretty much every game, even the league wins we have got lucky during some of the game, even west ham when if they score pen game probably changes for the worst, euro not much better
