Is now the opportunity? Should Everton go for Iraola?

Yeah, people underestimate how big these changes are. They aren’t just little clubs having some short-lived luck in the market. There’s some deep analytics going on and it’s hard to replicate. Look at how hard it has been to copy the Medallion Fund.
Easy just sack him - a total failure - my young nephew & @davek had to endure that performance today = totally unacceptable - end of ....

He never won a game for 12 games, Bournemouth sold his better players looked where they are compared to us Leeds nay finish above us FGS!

I don't care if we finish lower with him in his first season, another season giving Moyes the power (as he'll request being stubborn) will just prolong whatever this "sustainability" is.

Give someone a chance to build a squad.

They are incredibly effective at procuring the needed players but they don't buy a lot of players for the future like Brighton at really low prices and then develop them. This year they sold their entire backline and replaced them mostly with players who are young but ready to start if needed.

Bournemouth's net spend over 5 years is £151m. That makes them the 12th highest spenders over the past 5 years and they're currently sitting 6th with lowest possible 8th. On that metric they're overperforming.

I guess the question is, given the number they sold in the summer, how much of their marginal over-performance compared to their net spend is down to Ireola?

I hear what you're saying, but it's much easier to say that now than this time next year and we're 15th.

If he was the ownership’s number 1 choice who they were planning to move for this time last year, why on earth wouldn’t they go and get him now that he’s literally available with no contract to pay off? What has happened over the course of this season to make them pivot so violently from a manager like Iraola, to David Moyes being their number 1 choice long term?

I don’t think anyone at this football club has a clue what they’re doing. I think they’re making it up as they go along.
