Is now the opportunity? Should Everton go for Iraola?

Any new manager will be backed but they would be held to standard, we’ve had too much division within the fanbase with past managers, if they have a wobble they need the backing not calling for heads every five seconds

It's the modern game. If someone like Iraola had an ending to the season like we've had this season then the majority sentiment would be to sack him too.

Unless we're in danger of relegation I think any new manager should get two seasons but it just doesn't work like that now.

I like Iraola, but I’ve leaned more towards Glasner the more I think about it. He’s been successful with multiple clubs in different leagues. The reason he fell out with the board at CP appears to be because they sold his best assets and in particular Marc Guehi without replacing him this season.

If not Glasner than Yes to Iraola with a note of caution that the make up of our squad is not suited to his style of play and that it will take time for him to transform the squad and team to playing the way he wants. I am not sure he is, or has proven to be quite as flexible as Glasner. Either way they are both interesting choices.

They often say if you finish a season badly (like we have done) there is a hangover in form at the start of the next season. It’s laughable to suggest that Iraola wouldn’t improve us. Whether he’d want to come here is another matter.
