Is Moyes bigger than Everton Football Club?

But he doesn't have the backing so there is no point saying that.

There is mate, because some people are throwing a strop that our race for 4th is over when with our squad we have no right to be expecting to compete with those teams in the first place.

It's a wonder that we've managed to stay up there so long, really. The only thing you could really criticise Moyes for in terms of his management would be our poor record away at the 'Sky 4' sides, and his failure to win us a trophy.

Then again, Spurs have spent nearly ten times has much as we have since Moyes took over at Everton and they've won one trophy is it ?

I think if Moyes leaves and we're unlucky with our manager selection fans could be in for a shock in the league next year.

The 4th thing was a wish a fanciful dream and even though I don't rate Moyes the squad size over the league season is a killer, Moyes real weakness is his cup record this years Leeds effort being almost expected even Oldham or Wigan turning us over wouldn't be a surprise.

Do you think we'd be 4th if Moyes had £11m net spend per season as opposed to the £1.5m per season he has had to date Neiler ?

Without question mate and I think we would have some silverware also, I'll say this though, Moyes doesn't sign established players he identifies talent and coaches it, he makes players that's his big strength. to a club within our current margins he's essential to the business model - which is my biggest concern if he left - he's prob single handidly kept the club a float in terms of creating cash flow and profit on player trading.

The only clubs I could see him getting the foundation to apply that key skill is Utd or Arsenal and possibly Newcastle. Chelsea, City, Spurs and a few others he will have players bought for him and would be gone in three months. I wouldn't like to follow either Ferguson or Wenger though I could see him go to Newcastle.

I think he's bloody minded enough to not sign a contract with us and wait for an opportunity to suit him to come up.

Spot on, which is why i think a lot (not all) of the people saying Moyes out are being a bit shortsighted.

In a nutshell you've summed up why many of us fear the consequences of him leaving.

But it looks like he's going anyway so we will now have to face up to it.

Nothing has changed at the club since the bad days in terms of finance and our access to it. I don't think Moyes is bigger then Everton, but IMHO Everton need Moyes now more then Moyes needs Everton, he's hugely responsible and we are hugely dependent on his ability to identify, coach and develop players - I.e buy low sell high. Which is why I believe there is a real risk of relegation in a few short seasons if he goes. The whole debate goes further then just Football on a Saturday for me - Moyes is core and essential to the clubs ability to generate finance. I said years ago Everton as a entity is wholly to dependent on him - which leaves us rightly screwed if he goes! Hopefully I'm wrong.

agreed mate if Kenwright, the board and the clap clap clappers want us in the championship just so boys pen Bill can get his ego rubbed on the big screen then when it happens, the rest of us should IMO either boycott the games in protest or start our own club like FC United, Im tired of these cowboys ruining this once great club and feeling powerless thanks to these clap clap clappers villianising fan protest groups whilst supporting and encouraging Bills Reign.

Do you have clap clap clappers on predictive text or something? If it is as tedious to type as it is to read then I commend you on your application.

I'm not sure I understand why you think Bill wants us in the Championship though? Surely if he's only interested in money and his personal fortune then staying in the Premiership would be better?

Or is this just another outlandish and poorly thought out diatribe? I suspect so.
