Is it time for us to replace Howard?

It's difficult.

Even Lloris looked turd last night against Chelsea.

It's just how often these errors seem to happen. For every one Lloris makes, Howard has made 8. Maybe a slight exaggeration there but certainly what it feels like.

With top goalkeepers you pay for a consistency, Howard hasn't been consistent for a long time (maybe ever). It cost Southampton £10m for Forster, he could be their keeper for 10 years and has been absolutely outstanding thus far, on the grand scale of things that doesn't sound too expensive to me!

Beaten with the first shot v us again also at the near post - but TBF our defence has looked awful in the last two games - He is in thew twilight of his career though!!

He's now doing thoughtless things, like the goal kick he took that didn't have the legs to get out the box.

Never been my favourite... too indecisive, doesn't command his area the way a Big Nev or Schmeichel did, flaps at crosses, weak on his near post, his distribution can be woeful... and his ego was wayyyyy overhyped by the USA vs Belgium game when he made 16 saves that were largely straight at him and Obama jazzed himself stupid.
He's been a decent keeper, but not a winning keeper.
We need to find Big Nev type, someone who our defence is scared of never mind the opposition !!!
Ratcliffe and Mountfield were no shrinking violets, but when Big Nev gave them a roasting, they damn well knew about it and didn't screw up again.

Forster has looked great, a shame Soton snapped him up. A lot of the supposed replacements people are calling out don't give me much confidence though. Begovic for example, he has made bad errors every time I've watched him this year.

Is there a goalkeeper in MLS right now good enough for us? Just thought of this crazy idea of swapping Howard directly for them?

Americans have made a fair few good goalkeepers and they'd probably bite our hands off to have Howard represent the league over there after his World Cup exploits.
