He's our only player who gets double marked, he doesn't have the space he had two years ago. Teams now he is one of our few creative forces and they corner him off.

He's gone stale outwide, why not switch it around and see what he can do in other positions.

Osman and Pienaar can do jobs outwide. The midfield obviously isn't clicking so change it around and see what happens.
 
I do agree that Arteta is a decent player but i only feel he comes into his own when given a free role. We still should take him off the set-piece situations, he is simply awful at them with the rare and odd exception of brilliance.

Thats all my point was who would we play outwide because tonight for example we ended up with Cahill on the left, if we brought Arteta in we'd have to stick another player not familar with the wing out there.
 
This may sound bizzare but why not try Pienaar on the right of midfield and Van der Meyde on the left. Its about time we either released the dutch man or gave him one more chance.

Moyes won't drop Arteta.... He's one of his favourites!

in fact hes better than we think.
imo he is a cm ,not a true wide player , there is also a lack of end product , this clearly isnt down to arteta's passes but down to poor shooting from the receiver of the cross/pass.
put him in his best position , improove the quality of the shooting accuracy for the strikers and then we will really see arteta at his best.

arteta too predictable, been awful for about a year now, doin everyones hed in, needs dropping, he does the same thing all the time , why is he on free kicks, and corners, abseloute awful, same thing all the time both hands in the air and the f***s up.

exactly these so called crosses dont get anywhere near the box 1/2 the time, what is a pass and what is a cross, and if they get intercepted by the 1st man everytime then they shouldnt count. if he's put that many in this season then our strike force aint worth a bean.
