You're very kind, I'm just some half minded trollop, there's real brains and insight on here when it chooses to show itself. Some very big very important topics here as well. One day the light of justice will vanquish the shadows and lay the guilty bare.
The Irish thread is Brexit by name and you try to keep it on topic but we are literally intertwined in more rows than our size belies.

Then again, you destroy a country and you must expect payback. Brexit has been a Godsend in focussing minds to our own future.

I was wondering how long before the Loyal Ulster farmers, who are doing very well thank you from free access to the EU under the Protocol, would put pressure on the unDemocratic Unionists to keep the baby when throwing out other nasty EU bathwater!!

Quelle surprise ? ?

34 years late, and what else is being sat on in terms of evidence, and why only this case so far. For starters.

Well, this one is open and shut.

He admitted shooting the unarmed fellow in the back.

The bugger should have been on trial 34 years ago.

Still, better late than never innit.

Erm, when the authorities can quash something like this for 34 years, what else are they hiding? Better late than never still causes damage, and the vested interests of the day need exposing as well as their benefactors.

The thing that bothers me most about todays verdict in the Holden case apart from the fact that an 18 year old was in a Sanger in charge of a high velocity machine gun is the defence they choose to put forward. They had such disregard for the rule of law and order that they believed that a British court would accept that a Holden had wet hands from cleaning duties then handled a loaded weapon which had mistakenly been left with the safety off and his finger slipped and killed a person at a considerable distance who the army believed to be a member of the IRA.

Personally I hope this is the first of many prosecutions… some of the stuff that happened over there was truly horrific.. on both sides

NI poll graphics Day 1

Irish Times this morning.

The findings are contained in twin opinion polls carried out north and south of the Border for The Irish Times and the Arins Project. Arins — Analysing and Researching Ireland North and South — is a joint initiative of the Royal Irish Academy and the University of Notre Dame.

The two polls, along with a series of accompanying focus groups, were carried out among more than 1,000 voters in Northern Ireland and the Republic in August and September of this year.
