We are not far from our marching season which has been relatively quiet over the past few years but I fear this year may bring us back to the bad old days. Presently the rioting is confined to small areas and the numbers are small but parades bring large numbers on to the streets and if the agitators can whip up enough hatred then we could be in for a long summer.
Now is the time for strong leadership but unfortunately we don’t have any strong leaders. We have abject failures who have wasted the 20 years since peace broke out and who have squandered the opportunity to move the country on because they haven’t got a political thought in their heads apart from naked sectarianism.
I am too long born to up sticks and move from here but young Mr C is just doing his Masters and despite the fact Mrs C and myself win miss him I hope he moves away to have a life where everything isn’t dominated by religion and controlled by the irreligious.

Surely there will be no marching season this year?

Sad state of affairs, mate.

Telling that despite a call to come out onto the streets the riotous crowds are numbering around 30 to 40 people. Compared to what we have seen before that doesn’t even register.

The conditions just aren’t there anymore for a return to the bad days of the past.

That is where they miss Paisley.

His rabble rousing and demagoguery would have had thousands out on thise streets.

And without Paisley, how very different the last 50/60 years in NI woukd have been.

The Civil Rights reforms Capt. O’Neill tried to introduce would have went through and decades of bloodshed and thousands of deaths could have been avoided.

The DUP is now openly at odds with the EU, Westminster, Dublin, NI Nationalists and now the local police. There is just too many subjects of ire to be able to form a coherent strategy and be taken seriously.

Paisley had the advantage of an active IRA to use as a dog whistle for the masses but now Arlene is just flailing at everything and anything in blind panic.

And for the first time they also face a fight to keep their base intact.

Many are defecting to that party run by this fruitloop....

Politicians words have consequences

Utter scum. They have no idea what they are protesting against. They voted for Brexit and they are upset that their DUP 'leaders' have let Johnson and his clowns impose a sea border to unite Ireland from a customs perspective. What did they expect? We await the DUP proposals to rescue the situation.

We will be waiting a long time with that mob.
