If it is in the UK, why aren't it's people treated the same? Why aren't it's borders protected the same? Special arrangement for fhe 6 counties? There's your acknowledgement that they are not the same in Ireland as British citizens in Great Britain.

They are treated exactly the same as anyone else in the U.K. by the U.K. .....

And I will admit that you are right once you prove to me that Liverpool is treated the same way as South Armagh, border wise. Do you accept that that tne 'United Kingdom' now has internal customs borders and no control over it's border with the EU on the island of Ireland?

I think they are. I posted a comment saying that NI is basically getting the best of all worlds and then Khalekan jumps in with something about the EU and then they all Pat each other on the back as if they’ve proven something.

I’m made up for NI, they deserve the best of everything, but my question would be if they are getting whatever benefits K and Co think the EU gives, and they are getting whatever benefits I think the U.K. gives, why would they give It up.....

Pete it will be given up because our future lies elsewhere. The protocol demonstrates that the border is unworkable in a commercial context and that’s without even getting into the political/cultural aspect.

London has conceded that NI is not actually really part of the Union and the DUP must surely be ruing the day they propped up the Tories.

Re-integration back into the EU will be relatively straightforward and their track record of inward investment is indicative of the support we can expect. Add in our very vocal supporters in the Oval Office and I think we will transition just fine.

Wow. You need to keep up lad. If you don't know what is going on around the border issue, I really can't be too bothered educating you. Read what Arthur and Sammy Tache have had to say on the subject. You will know that the six counties are treated the same as the rest of Britain, right?

I have no idea why anyone other than myself voted for Leave or Remain. I have no idea why she nor the SNP, PC and some Labour MP’s voted against it. The U.K. had a U.K. vote, the U.K. voted to Leave, and the U.K. including England, Wales, Scotland and NI and Gibraltar are no longer in the EU...

We disagree on this point of course. If a customs declaration had to be completed for goods travelling between Liverpool and Manchester then the implications of the protocol would be made clear for the uninitiated.

The Eu can treat anyone or anything as it wishes. Because of the troubles in Ireland the U.K. and EU have put something in place so as not to undermine the GFA. Unless It leaves the U.K., NI will continue to be an integral part of the U.K. , represented in Westminster (not Brussels), will continue using the £ and will continue with U.K. Defence, Finance, Health, Law etc etc... one last time NI is no longer in the EU, it never was, only the U.K. was in the EU....

He had no choice after May did the WA. Had we left with no deal then the Internal Market bill would certainly have been introduced to remove that anomaly...but, hey it no longer matters, a deal has been done NI is in a good place, and everyone except Remainers is happy.....
