Is that why all the insults on Brexit sites are posted by Remainers?

From memory, exchanges usually go something like:

Remainer: I'm worried that Brexit will affect <insert affected person/group here>
Leaver: Ho ho, project fear, what nonsense/that person/group doesn't bother me, everything will be fine
Remainer: You're a donk

As you can see, had the leaver not behaved like such a donk, they wouldn't be called such a donk.

Bruce, just scroll through the Brexit threads and you will get my point.

In the UK, the Sunday Times has published what it describes as official government documents, which show that if Britain leaves the European Union without a transition deal, a hard border between Northern Ireland and the Republic will be likely, as current plans to avoid widespread checks will prove unsustainable.

We've been pointing this out for 3 years now

Dont tell Brexiteers that as you'll simply be mocked for talking down Great Britain's ability to make the impossible possible.

Yes and it is the exact point that @peteblue deflects. It is a border that London has militarily enforced until the GFA agreement.

Bored with the clap-trap of we won’t put a border up, only the Eu insist on a border etc.

Hate that crap, blind ignorance.

Complete denial of the situation that London has Created.

Brexiteers would be “free” by now though if the Tories weren’t orally pleasuring the DUP.

Indeed, it's utter blissful ignorance in the UK of what a border actually is. A border arises naturally whenever there's a divergence between two areas - the border demarcates the position when you cross from one area to the other. It doesn't need someone to 'put up' a border, it just happens.

People seem to think a border only exists if there are machine gun posts sweeping the area.

This a point that needs highlighting.

The European Union should come out and publicly state to the junta that they will indeed “re-open” negotiations with the UK and that they will once more offer them the NI only Backstop.....which we know has the overwhelming support of people in Ulster (6 of 9) and in Ireland (26 of 32).

We also know that 60% of Conservative party members would be in favour of ditching NI (and Scotland as well) if it meant “freedom” for England outwith the EU, so they will have no problem with leaving NI in the customs union as they sail off toward their Utopian sunlit uplands.

And I imagine among English gammon you would be talking about maybe 80% plus.

In short, the only people opposed to the NI only Backstop are the minority DUP.

But because Johnson, like May before him, regards his own arse as being much more important than the wellbeing of either his country or his party, he will continue to let this bunch of bigots run the entire UK over a cliff edge if they ain’t stopped before Halloween.

So come on, EU......take the fight to Johnson right now and tell the English public how easy it is to avoid the doomsday scenario Johnson’s junta are so enthusiastically threatening us with.

Let’s see if Angry in Andover or Cheesed Off in Cheshire is prepared to endure wartime like hardships to placate ten peopke in constituencies he couldn’t find on a map happy.

As has been stated often enough in this forum, it is not the EU stopping Brexit in Britain....it is the DUP.
