The point the bloke made on QT was utterly irrelevant, but gave an insight into how some Brexiteers view this process. Its bewildering to many.
We have allies in NATO look a guy on QT gives an anology which a poster for Remain claim was inaccurate or not relevant about the UK being independent.....
I just pointed out the claim was indeed valid......we did survive and come through it just about.......
Decrying what our country did in WW2 is more outrageous of an opinion tbh...

As is my right to call him and other like minded folk, who seek a return to the Dunkirk spirit and Rule Britannia as utterly delusional. Its 2018. WE have co-existed and happily traded with our closest neighbours for 40 plus years. As a united UK. (by and large).
But no. "We won the war, survived the U Boats" is seen as a reason to validate this self imposed lunacy we now face.

I feel that I must correct you on this. Its not that the EU want the UK to pay a price for Brexit. It's that the EU is exercising its responsibility to defend the interests of a member state that is not leaving. It is also upholding the rights of the people of NI to stay in the EU as provided for in the GFA.
It's ignorant if you forget what our elders fought for no more than last Sunday's Remembrance Day using thst all brexiteers were like the guy on QT is being ignorant as he was only stating a fact - we did survive ok for 40 years plusnyears without the EU ,and we never asked to be part of such a polictical union .... just a trading block......
Hence the Out vote which has been completely forgotten about as the present government has messed about for the last two years......
