They haven’t invaded another country or attempted to since antiquity, when they bombed US sites in Iraq it was the first time they attacked another country for centuries.
The Iranian government however are a bunch of oppressive monsters though and should be removed by the Iranian people
BTW if you bomb someone’s diplomatic mission you should expect retaliation no de escalation.
