Khomeini's regime always seemed like an odd fit, given where they started from. It has always been the most oppressive of the lot over there IMO, primarily because there's a lot more natural resistance to tamp down.

We're likely to see where the limits of rule through fear and force begin and end in the coming months. The one certainty is that it won't be pretty.
