They’ll probably activate their proxy militias to engage Israel. Doubt they’ll get involved as an actual nation state.
So expect more attacks from Hezbollah and many other militia groups based in Syria and Lebanon.

War by Proxy: Iran’s Growing Footprint in the Middle East
New analysis by CSIS’s Seth Jones based in part on commercially available satellite imagery shows that the footprint of the Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps-Quds Force is growing in the Middle East.
I think this is the reason the US are out in force across the Middle East to act as a reminder to Iran not to publically get involved.

I was looking at these so-called red lines last night and what struck me was the reality that Iran doesn’t seem to be really arsed about the Israel v Hamas thing.
