Trust me sometimes being old enough to have enjoyed all those moments from the 80's etc can be a curse as well, i remember when we where the best team in europe and maybe thats why the moyes era getting hailed as a achievement by the rags and some fans is so hard to swallow

I was only 4 when we won our first League Championship so I don't remember that but I remember our next 3 championships also 3 Fa Cup wins aswell as 5 losses. A ECWC and loads of Charity shields and 2 league Cup losses. Read it and weep you youngsters. Anyone who can guess my age wins a lollipop. I almost forgot can I count our 4th place as winning something or am I pushing it. :)

Some people think 4th place is better than winning the FA Cup, IMO winning a trophy is what it's all about.

i dont fall for this money is what will buy success argument.
for me a decent manager , decent facilities , decent coaching , a good youth policy ,the backing of a loyal fanbase , and team who gets on the pitch and plays with heart character and passion is enough to win success.
money helps , but isnt the most important factor or a guarantee.

Of course it isn't a guarantee of success, but the lack of it is a guarantee of failure.

I can guarantee the following:
England - one of Manchester United, Manchester City or Chelsea will win the league. In fact I'll go further and say the top 6 will be those plus Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool. By far the biggest 6 spending teams in the league.
Spain - Real Madrid or Barcelona - richest 2 clubs
Italy- Juventus but if not Milan, Inter or Napoli - the richest 4 clubs
France - PSG or Monaco
Germany - Bayern or Dortmund
Portugal - Benfica or Porto

That is all of Europe's top leagues where you can say with 99% certainty who'll make up the top couple of spots. And it is getting worse each season.

...I was born in 1956 and have seen us at the top of the tree. I saw the time when we were the Mersey Millionaires, when you would wake up and find we'd just signed the likes of Alan Ball who had been Man of the Match in a World Cup Final. I sincerely hope such days return for you younger folk because you deserve it so much.

...I thought the oldest man in the world had just been found in Peru.

Born in 1993, but didn't start following Everton until around 2004. I can't even imagine what it was like to be around when we were boss in the 80s, or what it would be like to win a major trophy.

Hmmm now now young man I thought we had won the league 9 times but in my life time we have won 4 championships.....let me see 9 minus 4 = 5 so thats make 5 championships before I was born......back to school young man and concentrate more on your mental arithmetic. Good attempt though :)

I have been lucky seen my first game in 1963 onwards when it was affordable and a working mans game - affordable home and away only tickets needed for big games - not the rip off culture of todays game!

For the people who've seen Everton win the league, what does it feel like? If I compare it to today's premiership, Is it tense in the last 8-9 games? Did the media get involved in it? Was the crowd rocking at every game thinking we are one game closer to a title? What was the whole euphoria like? I can just imagine it to be boss as well as nerve racking.

What about times when we missed out on the league? What was the feeling like there?
