2025/26 Iliman Ndiaye

the rest is a good debate - this part is nonsense

Ok, they're not specifically trying to overshadow our win - but that's the outcome.

We're Everton; we're not Burnley or Wolves and we're not here as a billboard for two apparently aggrieved Senegal footballers to use our matches to get a message across to their continent's federation.

I counted 3 occasions last night that those two made their protests against that decision. Maybe they should be just celebrating with our fans a hard fought victory against a good team.

No it’s not.

No one is talking about it. Let alone overshadowing the result.

Stop trying to find something to get angry about. Everyone else is celebrating a hard fought victory against a good team. Stop finding reasons not to.

It’s not the outcome though, you’re the only one talking about it.

The football world has been saying how well we played, how we’re right in the European fight, how great our stadium is and our fans were yesterday in the first huge moment at Hill Dickinson and also of course taking the mick out of Rosenior and Chelsea for being complete outclassed and outfought when they’re supposed to be world champions

Significantly more has been made of the premier league unfairly punishing us and being lenient on Chelsea - that’s the side story from yesterday

Where is the corruption?

The Senegal team left the pitch en masse and that triggers disqualification.

For crowd safety the game was allowed to carry on but an inquiry was announced immediately after the game to determine what should happen.

Too many people are citing corruption because the host country benefitted but the rules were broken. It's just because it was in Africa that the accusations are flying.

In any case, NONE of that has anything to do with Everton.
The corruption came from the match officials, which was the reason Senegal walked off the pitch! You can’t justify them walking off, but you can’t justify how bad the officials were either!

If bad decisions are all corrupt there'd be no match finished anywhere in the world on any match day!

This is the way of the davek...

His life goal is to come on forums on joyous days and find the smallest thing to obsess over and kick up a fuss about to ragebait fans.

It's a sad existence
